Capt. Hemant Rudra is a Master Mariner and Senior Marine Specialist Consultant with more than forty years in the marine industry, at sea and ashore. DLR Navigation is built directly on that experience — the firm's judgement on a rig move, a fixture or a warranty survey is the judgement of someone who has worked each of them in the field.

That career has run across the whole modern arc of the industry: from shipping and seaborne trade into offshore oil and gas, subsea and diving operations, dynamic positioning, and more recently offshore wind. Breadth of that kind is not incidental. Offshore campaigns rarely sit inside a single discipline — a rig move is simultaneously a towage question, a chartering question and an assurance question, and whoever manages it has to hold all three at once rather than defer each to a different specialist.

On third-party contracts that experience is applied directly: vessel suitability assessment, marine spread selection, contractor audit, offshore operational assurance, risk management, incident investigation, tender support, mobilisation and client representation. It is deliberately hands-on work — attending the unit, reading the spread, and representing the client's interest at the point where decisions are actually made.
